@mikeserridge4547 Constitutional referendums are usually based on a 2/3 majority, because they are a binary choice, so it is impossible for the result to be plural. That is why we have local representatives that we vote for rather than a president. Democracy is pluralist and a 52/48 split is not something to base such an important constitutional matter on. The referendum on proportional representation was a binding one based on a 2/3 majority. The OBR are saying that Brexit is going to cost us 4% of GDP, and you bet it is the poor who will suffer the most. There is already a cost of living crisis.
