@johnny196775 Yeah I know what you mean, I am 59 and recall the events described in this video. I know what you mean, but seeing a young guy like Tom not espousing neoliberalism gives me some hope for the future, and I enjoy seeing something intelligent and higher quality than reality shows and other garbage. Best of luck to you too man!

@richardbenitez7803 By populism, the leaders you mention seem to really mean encouraging the worst animalistic urges of humanity, for me they are no better than any despotic scum you care to mention. Nationalism and institutional religion are cancers in the body of the human race imho. Medieval essentialism at its worst.

@cnoeroman Exactly, a festering boil which is rotting the world. Good luck

@robertwall3795 You mean the government of the US has done its best to force neoliberalism upon its citizens which takes up more and more of their time and money merely to preserve the status quo and restore and strengthen the power of the ruling class. The Democrats are the party of neoliberalism, especially since the GOP became home of the neo-fascists and crazies

@Tom_Nicholas Great stuff Tom! I am so pleased to have discovered you content. It was the "JP doesn't understand 1984/George Orwell " one that did it for me Please keep up the good work

@johnny196775 I feel the neocons are neoliberals but with more militarism and added culture warfare. It all comes down the same thing as far as the proletariat are concerned. More circuses and less bread.

@johnny196775 I have my ups and downs. I'm in the UK and something of an old anarcho-punk hippie which probably helps my demeanour!

@johnny196775 I rather like some of George Carlin's output on religion etc but that's not impossible. I spend a fair bit of time on reddit these days and I am a genderfluid pansexual kinda person.

@johnny196775 But I don't really worry to much about the words people use, especially historically, more the intentions behind them.

@johnny196775 In the UK a term like "tranny" is used affectionately by trans people themselves, we probably have more in common with the Australians with our robust use of language(or course here a fag is a cigarette lol). I live in SE London in a traditional working class community, where one is accepted if one is honest about oneself. I have noticed that being 'closeted' is seen as being dishonest and "slippery", a serious insult here. Things have really improved since the internet became universal in London anyway, compared to the 80s and the "gay plague" hysteria. I can visit trad working class pubs dressed as a woman and old men actually flirt with me ;) "two countries divided by a common language" eh ;)
