It was a mistake for New Labour and Gordon Brown to allow China to asset strip Rover, it's intellectual property, patents and technology that enabled Chinese vehicle manufacturers to reduce development costs of their vehicle manufacturing base as can be seen by the car industry in China with vehicles linked to the Social Credit system.
