Parliamentary Reform: If PIP cash payments are replaced with vouchers then voters will demand all MPs and Peers expense payments are replaced with vouchers. If the state pension becomes means tested then voters will demand that MPs and Peers salaries, pensions and expenses be means tested. Mean test will mean any MP or Peer with a household net worth including property of GBP £2 million to have the same Universal Credit taper rate percentage reduction in payment of Parliamentary salaries, pensions and expenses to a maximum household net worth of GBP £10 million including property. Any MP or Peer with a household net worth including property exceeding GBP £10 million will mean MPs and Peers will not be eligible for any Parliamentary salary, not receive any Parliamentary pension, not receive any Parliamentary expenses. If new co-living projects approved from 2023/2024 onwards are not scrapped and converted into traditional housing where each household has their own contained living facilities then MPs and Peers who live outside London should be expected to live in co-living facilities near the Houses of Parliament with all Parliamentary payments towards MPs homes scrapped.

The Prime Minister's proposed fraud, error and debt bill will impose draconian legislation on over 22 million people to save £10 billion from fraud and error every year that New Labour MPs say is unsustainable. Yet £10 billion is 0.82% of the government budget for 2024/2025. The same government is giving Ukraine the most corrupt country in Europe £3 billion a year for the next 100 years. The British government has also said it will cut £3 billion from disability benefits, benefits for the most vulnerable in the UK. British Conservative governments from May 2010 - December 2019 cut £37 billion from social security benefits with billions of pounds cut from disability benefits. Boris Johnson's government spent £37 billion over two years on the failed private Test and Trace programme. Conservative governments were said to allowed £35 billion to be lost to fraud on additional COVID lockdown benefits, however whilst Universal Credit claimants received an extra £20 a week the same government with Rishi Sunak as Chancellor outright refused to give legacy benefit claimants the same £20 uplift, resulting in legacy benefits many of whom are disabled losing over £1,000 each over the year. Conservative governments have spent £15 billion to set up Universal Credit without paying a single benefit claimant. The money would have been better spent increasing social security benefits. There's also the £23 billion in unclaimed social security benefits. Politicians imposing austerity, benefit cuts, cuts to public services and welfare reform make claiming disability benefits as difficult as possible is dehumanising and inhuman and demonstrates that these policies are Neoliberal ideology and a political choice never a necessity as tge government owned Bank of England could easily fund any additional government spending without adversely affecting the British economy.

People were telling Gordon Brown and Tony Blair that PFI Schemes were a disastrous and catastrophic to public finances and public services in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Gordon Brown only used PFI Schemes to hide the extent of spending Government money on contracts in the private sector to make New Labour look prudent. The EU banned the practice of hiding PFI Schemes contracts being hidden. Existing PFI contracts are expected to cost hundreds of billions of pounds extra over the lifetime of the contracts then traditional non PFI Schemes. Indeed Keir Starmer is the Labour version of Liz Truss and Rachel Reeves is the Labour version of Kwasi Kwarteng. Not even a box of lettuce can save Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves reputation on the economy. Tighter financial services regulations would have greatly reduced the impact of the banking and financial crisis and massively reduced bank bailout and reduced austerity. Nigel Farage like Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves also supports deregulation and self regulation of financial services and the US model of local government where council services are privatised and contracts issued to private businesses over large annual banquets by Elected Mayors.

@stephfoxwell4620 I have not added the national debt. The amount you quoted is about the amount HM Treasury spent on bank bailouts (£856 billion) during the banking crisis from 2008 with a HM Treasury commitment of £1.2 trillion by around 2012 for further bank bailouts.

Lord Blunkett says government doesn't owe people if they cannot be bothered to work. Yet people who have serious disabilities are being forced to look for work and attend government work programmes even if that work related activity risks making the disabled health worse.
