  1. Clove oil contains more eugenol at higher concentrations than ground cloves or raw cloves. Would one or two teaspoons of ground clove powder or four to six cloves per day still risk permanent damage to teeth? As one teaspoon of ground cloves numbs the mouth for a few seconds.
