@rajsalgam The search criteria used was 'US oil reserves' and this brought various amounts but most were over 32 billion barrels. Venezuela has the World's largest oil reserves and were Venezuela to align with China it could mean war and invasion by the US. Worldometers has Venezuela with proven oil reserves of 299.953 billion barrels oil.

@Ryan Tandy Yes, that's true and there is also processing, refining, distribution, shipping and storage costs that are considered by countries.

@lalruatsangihmar8680 Possibly due to money, power, influence and control. Restricting availability and access maintains higher prices and reduces population growth.
