Wealthy Tory politicians are not there for the money but for power, status, prestige, control and to establish a political oligarchy of rule by the rich, with the rich for the rich. MPs salaries combined with ministerial salaries are but very low percentages of declared net worth with some examples of Parliamentary salaries below 1% of the politicians net worth. One possibility for reason of the establishment of the new political oligarchy to increase power of the old powerful elites could be to create an immensely wealthy Neofeudal Technocracy presiding over a vastly reduced middle class. The immensely wealthy Neofeudal Technocracy would be a ruling class ruling over a poor underclass of modern day peasants and serfs as supported by WEF leaders who believe they have the right to determine the future of world and it's people.
