  1. The UK has 300 years of British coal reserves at 1980s rate of use and were coal to receive the same subsidies as nuclear power than users could be paid to use electricity and coal. The UK has been able to convert coal to natural gas for many decades. Renewable energy cannot replace coal, gas and oil. The economic costs of sanctions on the UK will unfortunately mean a revolution with the most far right government seen in the UK.
