@dftfire Those registered to vote should care because the general election will use First Past The Post electoral system where both Labour and Conservatives benefit on a minority share of the overall vote.

It's impossible for most of the approximately 8 million people not registered to vote in the general election to become registered to vote in the general election on 4 July 2024. However the general election could be delayed to allow millions more people to be registered to vote though Local Government will need additional time, money and resources.

@dftfire Some people complaining about Tory policies who could vote but are not registered to vote may find it difficult to get registered to vote in time.
