I would observe that, at the threshold of adolescence, many more girls seem to want a serious boyfriend, and are ready for one, than boys a serious girlfriend. Even a higher percentage of adolescent girls than boys seems ready and eager to get married.

@seigeengine "That's what women deal with, often." But then, a good amount of women, while being into you, hide that fact and expect you to chase them. And advocate for this behavior it in the social media. So, until there is an all-woman consensus, there is no "supposed to" or "not supposed to". There are only the ill-mannered among men and the deceitful and vicious among women. Aggressive and superficial men are after sex. They are not out to hurt the opposite sex, while vicious women are and get good at inflicting emotional pain by age 9. Women: inferior in muscle, far superior in cruelty.
