@IanGrams You got me to stop. One more cup of coffee and less doomscrolling. Thanks. 👍🏽

1. Thank you for your bravery. I mean that for real. Anybody that's willing to face a high anxiety fear and still meet it head on for themselves, their family and others deserves to be thanked. 2. If you have a decent primary care provider, see if they're willing to go ahead and give you a script for a short-term anti-anxiety med prescription if you have to deal with needles in the future. It's not a solution for everyone, but it's something people can explore and don't often know they can.
3
@Bitterkind more than you. Seriously nothing you will ever do is going to matter as much as what this young person is already done. You are behind them forever.
3
@Bitterkind You're welcome! Enjoy the lack of relevance your constant negativity and posturing grants you. While this kid's capacity to change the way they think and grow continuously puts them farther and farther beyond you. 👍🏽

Yeah, he has the mindset that agrees with the overwhelming majority of the United States citizens. He's not interested in appealing to you.

😶😂🤣

That's the kind of comparison that makes an idiot of the person making it. There is absolutely nothing that Mexico could do to the United States. There is no metric by which they are a meaningful threat to us no matter who they were allied to.

@bethan013 agreed

Because stupidity is a hobby for some and a professional sport for others apparently. 🤦🏽♂️

@arilarz5679 I mean for some people, you won't be able to disprove it because they will believe what they want to believe more than they will accept any amount of truth. I have been recommending a channel on YouTube called healthcare triage. The doctor there has a very comprehensive set of videos that can walk anyone through the virus, the vaccines, the way the vaccines were developed and can explain away the conspiracy theories and fantasies centered around the vaccines. Good luck.
2
There's nothing clickbaity about the title. Repetitively stuttering a word because you don't understand something or just feel like acting like a pizza cutter, doesn't demonstrate that you have any kind of special insight into the world.

@Just-aNerd 👍🏽

Action is one of the best solutions to paralysis and anxiety. Make an appointment. It won't guarantee that you'll keep the appointment but it'll start to move you in that direction. There's a channel on YouTube that is affiliated with complexity called healthcare triage. The doctor on there has provided some very comprehensive videos that walk you through everything you need to know about the virus, the vaccines, to include the new MRNA vaccines. He also provides links to further resources that will enable you to further build up your confidence as the appointment date comes closer. Make yourself accountable to someone else. after you Make the appointment, tell someone you've made it. Particularly someone you know will want to know that you've gone to it. And after you've gotten your first one, considering helping someone else go to their next one. Making yourself part of helping somebody else will also help encourage you to keep up the process. Good luck and please get vaccinated.

@stoacyelsew Do you hear crickets? Because I hear crickets.

None of whom will be benefited by the trade wars.
2
Thanks Tiara. :)
2
I'm sorry. I was so hopeful for you all not too long ago and watching how things have changed so suddenly has been heartbreaking.
2
@lorrygoth I am alternately really sorry you were taught that, really appreciative and non-patronizingly proud that you chose to learn otherwise, and also want to beat the people that taught you those things with a hammer until all the red stuffs on the outside.
2
@capitalismftw4757 what's your address, handsome? ☠️
2
People who deserve what he's dealing with, instead of him.
2
@syndeos Appreciate it.
2
Thanks for the work you do.
2
You've got a very flexible definition of useful, but not all of it is shit. I hope things get better wherever you're at.
2
It balances out. You have shit weather, and the slow vaccine roll out. We have Americans. So we're fundamentally equally screwed. (Hope it gets sorted for you all soon.)
2
Carry the courage of your convictions to their inevitable conclusion. Sooner rather than later.
1
He's to the right of me, but you're absolutely terrible at math, statistics and sociology. 24.9% of Americans in their 40s describe themselves as liberal, 35.8% describe themselves as conservative, with 39.3% describing themselves as some value of moderate. Seeing as Secretary Buttigieg is serving in a Democratic administration, that places him to the left of that 35% at a minimum.
1
You're not a United States citizen. So your pretension to vote for him won't matter.
1
@davidhobbs5679 so it wasn't a lie. It's just something that for diplomatic reasons, Japan & SK presently didn't feel comfortable admitting.
1
Probably a hell of a lot less than the several years of lies and conspiracy theory pandering before then.
1
Prioritization is not discrimination. Triage is a fundamental component of medicine That no one has ever happy about but is absolutely necessary.
1
Look up healthcare triage on YouTube. The doctor there has a video list that will walk you through everything you need to know about the virus, the vaccines, and the development of the MRNA vaccines. He also has videos that will specifically address the fact that this does nothing to change your DNA.
1
It's not just that you're a liar; You are. You're also horribly bad at it.
1
@brainstuff555 where did you get your PhD in virology from?
1
@Bookworm12 it really didn't. People who make vaccines, people who test vaccines, people who study those who have been exposed to vaccines, people who study public health, people who study chemistry, people who develop testing programs, people whose job it is to make money finding screw ups in the above people, in fact everyone involved in the process of making it as safe as possible... Disagrees with you. That does not put you in the strongest position.
1
You're an idiot. If people are the problem, making it harder for them to get guns will make it harder for them to use them.
1
There is no confusion at any reasonable level of education or professional involvement with the vaccines. If you have a specific concerns and want them addressed you can mention them and I or others will find resources for you that will help alleviate those if you're open to having your preconceptions refuted.
1
Are you from the United States? Have you ever been to the United States? We're literally full of people like that.
1
Search for healthcare triage on YouTube, the doctor there will walk you through absolutely everything you need to know about the viruses, the vaccines and the specifics of how the MRNA vaccine was developed so quickly.
1
Everyone that wants to live in a better country. People smarter than you.
1
You mean the racial disparity in marijuana arrests and general drug arrests in South bend? You mean the disparity that is Nationwide and is highest and worst in areas that are predominantly red states? Are you referring to some other easily refutable talking point?
1
Because everyone that helps is better than people like you. Because everyone that helps understands that helping anyone is better than helping no one. Because you're a terrible, failed human being. And you were entire life Will simultaneously be your penance, and a waste of all the resources that you've ever consumed. ❤ be blessed with the exact amount of care you bring into this world. 🤗
1
@pessimistkai5569 "I was kidding" If you find that funny, you deserve a lot more than what I said to you. But as I said, your life is your penance. Enjoy.
1
No. Not inherently.
1
The beauty of the dunning Krueger club is that humans like you can make such breathtakingly wrong statements, and stand hermetically sealed in their own inability to understand how wrong they are. The kind of almost awe inspiring stupidity that is to dumb to realize how stupid it is.
1
Nah. There's no need to platform a human like that.
1
And simplistic people on the internet, with no experience or aspiration for greater responsibility, fail/refuse to understand that one can make terrible, fatal decisions for others and still be kind.
1
@Bookworm12 No they aren't. At the end of the day, cognitive dissonance is not the same as having done forthright research in good faith with the willingness to accept that your preconceptions were incorrect. If you go looking for confirmation and only accept confirmation, that's not research. Now you can convince me that people are being misled, particularly those who are easily misled because they live in information silo and have an identity that is being pandered to buy some of the or most of the misinformers. That's a fact and I actually feel significant amount of pity for those folks. But there is a portion of the unvaccinated who are refusing to get vaccinated who have invested in an identity of not being vaccinated and have hermetically sealed themselves off from any amount of proof to the contrary. Those people have not done the research, and are due no amount of respect for the efforts they've made to come up with better arguments to shore up the preconception they've already had.
1
Johnny, is there someone she does listen to? Is she a particularly faithful person? If there is a particular kind of person in the community she does listen to, consider finding somebody who fills that role who understands the benefit of vaccines, and reaching out to them to have them speak to her directly. I have found that personal relationships are the most effective methods at breaking through the barriers surrounding vaccine fears. Good luck.
1
@Bookworm12 No you haven't. Repeating something that isn't true over and over again doesn't increase it's veracity. Research does not mean looking things up on the internet or listening to documentaries. Research has an actual definition, particular to the study of the sciences. A fundamental component of research is entering into it not so attached to your preconceptions that you can't have them falsified or proven inaccurate. You arrive to everything you look for already knowing what you want to find, and you have sorted all of that information along those lines. This is called confirmation bias and you are consumed by it. It provides you an identity and a sense of control over a life and a situation where you do not have enough of it, or feel inadequate to the challenges that surround you or exist inside of you. This is transparent to people who have been dealing with people like you for a long time professionally.
1
What would that have to do with optimism? You're asking somebody who's talking about different kinds of fruits to discuss farm animals. It's not even apples to oranges
