People to the left of that orange asshole need to stop using the terms "defund the police" and instead accurately explain that this will actually allow police to focus on the things that they are best at. Cops should not be expected to have to be the one size fits all Band-Aid for every social problem in the United States. There are experts for different problems. You don't go to a surgeon to fix an infection And you don't ask a plumber to build an entire house. A broader social infrastructure, decriminalization of victimless crimes, adequate funding and high training/ hiring standards allows cops to drill down and focus on specifically dealing with violent and property crime. Which is all they should be concerned with.
