@tomorrowneverdies567 Western Europe was shaped by the Western Roman Empire and Eastern Europe by the Eastern Roman Empire. That is why the Latin alphabet is used in the west and the Cyrillic alphabet in the east. Poland has been part of western civilization for over 1000 years and like all European countries, Poland is genetically mixed. Poles are West Slavs and Russians are East Slavs. That is not the same.

@tomorrowneverdies567 Poland belongs to the Western culture historically shaped by Catholicism, which means shaped by the Western Roman Empire. Eastern Europe begins where the Cyrillic alphabet is used.

@tomorrowneverdies567 I say that they are two different civilizations. Russians don't even have the same mentality.
15
@tomorrowneverdies567 They have a similar mentality. The Russians went through a completely different historical development after being oppressed by the Mongols.

@tomorrowneverdies567 The foundation upon which European culture is built is ancient Rome and ancient Greece. The first split of Europe into West and East was when Rome divided (Rome, Byzantine Empire). The Western Roman Empire fell, but not the Roman Catholic Church. So the West was like a club that you could only join if you converted to Roman Catholicism as a country. Only then will you be accepted by these states. Poland adopted the Roman Catholic faith and became part of this club over 1000 years ago. Russia had taken a different path and converted to Orthodoxy. Therefore, from that point on, Russia was part of Eastern Europe and oriented towards the Byzantine Empire (Eastern Rome). The second historical difference between Poland and Russia is that Russia was oppressed by the Mongols for centuries and was also heavily influenced culturally by the Mongols. That's why Russia was always a strongly centralized state afterwards, while Poland was a "monarchical democracy". According to the standards of the time, it was "democratic".

@tomorrowneverdies567 Brazil is a mix of many peoples. Brazil also has African influences. South American natives also had their influence. Poland has been Catholic for over 1000 years and borders on the heartland of the West. Mentally, Poland is individualistic and this is a trait found only in western civilizations.

@tomorrowneverdies567 Because they are European colonies that have developed in a different direction. I've already written why. European countries with a Catholic history are part of Western Civilization.

Poland and Hungary are historically best friends and there is even a Polish-Hungarian Friendship Day in both countries. Are you sure you are Polish?

Bullshit.

@krumuvecis Western Europe is shaped by the Western Roman Empire and Russia by the Eastern Roman Empire. Why? Because Western Europe is Historically Catholic and Eastern Europe is Orthodox. That is why the Latin alphabet is used in Western Europe and the Cyrillic alphabet in Eastern Europe.

@kodor1146 The German city of Cologne was originally built by the Romans. Cities like London too, by the way.
1
@kodor1146 You didn't believe that a large part of Germany was under Roman rule.
