  1. You showed the briefest of views of Ottawa, a city I haven't visited since the border closed. I miss it and now I know of an additional place to see if I get back. I hope your Winnipeg visit included some time in the Royal Canadian Mint, which makes coins for as many as 80 other countries; the Canadian Museum for Human Rights; and the Manitoba Museum's history of the Hudson's Bay Company. And, of course, one must go through Portage and Main, an intersection I half jokingly call the center of the world. Since you went before the current war, you may or may not have delved into the history of Ukrainians in Canada, many of whom were interned in WWI as enemy aliens. The Peg is well known for its Ukrainian heritage and even has a memorial to the Holodomor.
