We are talking about making the country safer. Can we all agree on that? You can not make an argument that you need assault rifles and 30-round extender mags for safety. If you had the training you bragged about, you would know that in a firefight, you would never use that many rounds. Claiming otherwise only goes to prove my original argument: that you are a threat.
1
It's always election season. You need to familiarize yourself with our system.
1
The main reason is because the NRA has too much pull. Just think of how these laws not only would have been in place for years but better enforced if the NRA wasn't holding so many politicians feet over the fire. First step towards solving this problem is to eliminate the gun lobby.
1
And where did we get to that part of argument, moron? I am not even talking about this from a gun standpoint but using my marketing degree to handle this. The argument is that if assault rifles were banned, covert criminal factories would pop up to manufacture them. Considering the risk, the costs of supplies, the availability of space, electricity, etc. to operate, etc. all to make a few hundred dollars per item is a joke. This is not like a drug business where there would be repeat customers.
1
Rudy, you prove your ignorance once again. I never said that a woman should not own a gun for protection (and if she already is a rape victim, then the gun didn't help, did it? You are too stupid to understand what you wrote). Bob compared driving and gun ownership. I was responding to that. Aren't you tired of my demonstrating how better educated and smarter than you I am on a consistent basis? Fuck off, moron.
1
It is not a fake account. It is my teenage son's and it is still active and if you had half a brain, you could scroll back on this thread and find it. Again, you could make that claim about the comment and YT would investigate. But we both know that they would find nothing of the sort because you are lying.
1
LOL! You are truly a moron. I never said that guns made these shooters take action. Guns merely increased the amount of death and destruction they could create. As far as anyone knows, there is no common cause that connects the Columbine shooters to Kip Kunkel to Adam Lanza to the VA Tech shooter, etc. You are the one trying to create an imaginary trigger that set them all off. Keep making yourself look foolish.
1
But who gets to make these decisions and on what grounds? Should I be able to have CSTexan put on the No Gun list because he talked about killing cops here on YT? You said nothing about the No Gun list, moron. We were speaking about Pima wanting Loughner to undergo a psych exam and you said that they should be able to get a temp entry. Just because you don't know how to communicate in English doesn't mean you get to take it out on others.
1
Most with Aspberger's have very high IQs, which would explain Lanza's gift with computers. You are so far off base here that you are truly embarrassing yourself.
1
There are those individuals who would be effected by such material, but they are a small minority. That is like claiming that every man who reads Playboy or Penthouse is then going to go out and rape women. You can argue that those materials support misogyny (which they do) but they do not create rapists. The same with video games and movies. My two oldest have played first person shooter games and I am not in the least worried that they will go out and shoot up a school. Wake up.
1
CSAT the cop-killer wannabe is losing it. He has been beaten at his own stupid little game and can't accept it.
1
Except that I am not stupid. You, on the other hand, are as dumb as they come.
1
How mature. CSAT thinks he is so creative.
1
So you would shot and perhaps kill police officers in order to protect a gun? You have just moved to the head of the list as examples of why certain people should not own guns.
1
But they would not be murderers if I used my magic powers of time and space travel to keep them from ever confronting that family. Cop-killer CSAT loses again.
1
And how can you assure that they never will know? How do you know that they won't follow you to where you keep them one day? How do you know that they won't stumble across them while looking for Christmas presents? You can't. And how do you believe that we can afford a police officer in every one of the over 135,000 schools in the US? Most schools are financially strapped to the point where they can't provide activities such as art, music or sports. Are you paying the bill?
1
Martin's background does not matter. He had every right to be walking towards his father's house without having a racist scumbag like Zimmerman go after him for being black and wearing a hoodie.
1
In 2016, the Democrats will keep the White House and the Senate and possibly take back the House. The Republicans are a fucked up party who can't even agree on a platform. Keep dreaming.
1
Well, to be honest, it would. But I am sure that it would bother everyone who knows you personally that you are committing necrophilia. BTW, "Bahahah" That's 15. "...helping your situation tqueer!" Look at the immaturity, resorting to gay name-calling. BTW, that's 16. Show me one of the 16 I have pointed out that I got wrong. Just one. Come on, you moronic asswipe.
1
I am getting it straight from the CDC itself as well as numerous other agencies. Guns are included in the "Accidental Deaths" field, which is number 5 on the list. In that field, they rank second behind automobile deaths.Over the last 5 years, while shooting deaths have fallen slightly, auto deaths have fallen drastically. Within 2 to 3 years, gun deaths will overtake auto deaths.Way to show that you can't handle information.
1
Yes, actually it is according to YT's regulations. See how stupid you are. You just can not make a compliant since there was never such a comment. You lose.
1
Because one day you might. Your car could be hit by a drunk driver. Your car could be stolen. Your neighbor could throw a rock through your window because your dog took a dump on his lawn. That is why your taxes support the police.
1
I agree. There should be some punishment (perhaps not jail time) but it is an act of mercy. But technically that would be murder, which brings us back to your first comment to me.
1
I did not say that it was. I merely realize that banning assault rifles would at least have a prayer of being passed into law. Where would you draw the line with the other? Could a parent of such a child keep a handgun at home with a trigger lock while the child was under 5? Under 10? When would it become illegal for the parent to have such a gun? Then, which mental diseases would count towards the law? Can a home with an autistic child have a gun but not a schizophrenic?
1
Again, low population, low income differential, many sociological reasons as to way. But then, this is the state where Robert Ashcroft died. He was a high school basketball player who, with friends, tried to steal beer from a man's garage. The homeowner shot him and then refused to call for help as he held the others at gunpoint. Ashcroft died. Worse yet, the home owner was found innocent of involuntary manslaughter. Then VT passed a law in HIS favor. Vermont, home to lunatics.
1
There was limited security at the airports before 9/11. Remember being able to walk people up to the boarding gate? Remember being able to take water bottles onto planes? There is so much more now due to the threat of terrorism. Try to follow.
1
Typical moron. I was not online when you were posting these BS comments, so you think that I have nothing to say. I know more about the odds and the facts than you do and have proven it on this thread. My children are safe. I pity your parents for having to raise someone as incredibly ignorant as you.
1
Gee, Bob, such maturity. What does that have to do with the argument at hand? How about we house some meth heads with assault rifles next door to you? Will it make you feel more manly knowing that you might get to shoot it out with them?
1
Yes, I live less than an hour from there. It was the lead story on tonight's local news. I thought you were referring to the one from about a year ago where the grandson killed grandma with a hammer because she would not give him money for drugs. But again, you never made it clear as to what you were referring to. You just kept going on about murderers.
1
Over what?
1
There is your key phrase, "at close range". First, it would depend how close to the wall you were. Second, it would depend on the type of wall. Third, if you knew anything about the spread patterns in relation to the size and shape of the shot, you would know that they are less dangerous than actual bullets.
1
Who is copying your posts? To do so would only lead to more bullshit being posted on this thread since that is all you have to offer.
1
psycho, you have not kicked anyone's ass. As I recall, you had to resort to calling me gay and saying that my children must hate me because you could not prove a single one of your points. You are the one who believes that AK-47s are rampant in Chicago because you heard it in a rap video. After I demonstrated how wrong you were, you cried like a baby. Let's not even start on how I demonstrated your poor grasp of English. You are not only ignorant, but delusional.
1
"The quality is besides the point..." Have you ever fired a gun? A poorly made weapon is more apt to blowup in your hands than fire a bullet. The point being made here was whether people would actually jump in to manufacturing illegal ARs if they were banned. I pointed out that it is a stupid claim since there is no profitability in it yet a huge risk. You are the one who seems to be too stupid to grasp that. And yes, the media has made clear he was a felon.
1
You do realize that you are responding to that moron, CSAT, don't you? But, if you want to make a fool out of yourself by playing along with his game, that says wonders about your level of maturity.
1
LOL! What a lie. That is where I did my first AIT post. There is a huge income differential there. You have the million dollar homes as you head west towards the shore and Carmel and then you have the low-income, mostly Hispanic Salinas area. Beautiful city but a huge income differential throughout. Sorry to burst your bubble.
1
You have yet to prove me wrong on anything. I have kicked your ass up and down these boards and you are too stupid to realize it. When you finally pull your head out of your ass, maybe then you will actually learn something.
1
So are planes crashing into houses. What do you suppose we do about that, shithead?
1
Choo's family placed him under the care of a psychotherapist as a minor. Once he turned 18, his family could not make such decisions for him anymore. That is when he stopped taking his medication.
1
They happened once. With God's guidance they will happen again. And soon
1
Not if I showed you the photos first. You have no grasp of the law.
1
There hasn't been a school shooting in over 20 years in Rhode Island as well and they do not allow teachers to carry guns in school. That renders your point meaningless.
1
Loughner's run-ins with the campus cops were for being disruptive in classrooms and the library.Nothing violent, nothing confrontational to other students. Once he quit the university, it sent a letter to his parents saying that he could not re-enroll without a letter from a mental health official stating he would no longer be a problem. A mandate to report would not have included him.
1
Certain occupations require a weapon (police, military, federal agents, etc). No one else needs a gun. How about you stop trying to move the goalposts and concede the point.
1
No, I said that I would go back and inform the cops. I would do it right in precinct headquarters, giving them names and addresses. Give it up, moron. You will never win this game. You are the only one here who wants to kill cops.
1
(cont) pieces off the board. As for the people involved in most of these shootings recently, they tend to be people with severe mental issues. There is a difference between 'sick' and 'evil'. The two terms do not always work in concert.
1
Pull your head out of your ass. The Right you refer to was created generations before automobiles even existed. We all have the right to go and purchase a car and to use it. It is not a privilege but a necessity to most Americans.
1
Poor pitiful Rudy. Still acting like a bratty little kindergartner and thinking it's cute.
1
Mav, I don't think this is a good idea....
1
Do I think killers should be released early from jail? No. But you are the one who wants to trample on the rights of anyone you consider a "nutter" without any rhyme or reason.
