  1. I believe we simply cease to exist when we die, no afterlife, but I do respect those, such as the Lynch family, who try to comfort the living with their kindness, respect and careful attention to the decease's body. The funeral process is for the living.

  4. Unless something beats me to it, I plan to decide when I will die - when I feel done or can't take care of myself. I don't fear death, but my concern will be quality of life.

  5. I've worked in these facilities and have never seen a good staff to patient ratio.
