  2. It is good that you mentioned that US might want to be belligerent to China. In the next 20 years, China will still be forced to play defense and that will be their main priority. US is more likely to bring war to Chinese shores than China doing the reverse, and they only have to make sure they can match US and allies' forces to defend themselves.
