  1. Telling the Chinese that they just have to overcome these challenges is redundant. What else have they been doing for the past 100 years if not overcoming vast, insurmountable challenges. It's like telling a salmon that they just have to swim hard to get back to the stream they were born in, when they have been doing just that for millions of years.

  4. Exactly. Every industry that China decided to enter because it has become a national objective, they eventually dominate. With the backing of a mega industrial power, immense talent pools of STEM graduates, and a huge domestic and international market, tere is no reason why China cannot break the duopoly of boeing and airbus.

Everyone acting like China doing industrial episonage is like the worst thing ever in history, while conveniently ignoring the fact that the west has basically looted the world through colonialism and coercion for centuries. The way I look at it, non western countries stealing western is just them getting reparations.

  8.  @countinfinity776  they didn't steal as much tech as you think, and all countries steal, most of all actually is the US. Go read up how they stole tech from the British, the Germans, the French and everyone else. Those companies signed contracts to let Chinese manufacturers learn how they made the stuff, and often they gave the Chinese outdated tech and techniques. So the rest the Chinese have to figure out through great effort. There are so many stories of great Chinese scientists, engineers and the teams they led making insane breakthroughs even though they have nearly nothing to begin with. This "China steal tech" BS needs to die. It is also supremely self serving and naive to think that the Chinese can build the greatest economy in human history today by stealing tech. If tech stealing is all you need to build all this, then why is India still so desperately underdeveloped and poor. Get real.

Did you get the meaning wrong? I know Americans also like to pretend they are the smartest people in the room, because of their insecurities and constant abuses with no social support, constantly looking for praises and validation.

  11. @lauralhardy5450  this is so dumb. There are a huge number of very successful Chinese scientists in China. You just never heard about them. You don't even know that China is already leading in many fields of science and research, how will you even be aware of individual scientists. You think you are soooo clever by pointing out that you brain drain another country to support your own economy. Well, that's not gonna happen in the future as more and more countries developed when they are no longer suppressed by the crumbling US led world order. Let's see if Americans themselves can sustain this.
