You forget to mention that it is not that Americans have greater buying power because the USD is the reserve currency. It is that the fed can print money and the US can use those papers to buy stuff. Because the US created a system where everyone uses the USD for international trade, and used through institutions like SWIFT, a country has to have a reserve of USD just to do trade. This means that the US can exchange real goods and services for mere cents to every 100 bucks. In turn, central banks will usually buy US T bonds to ensure their USD reserve don't devalue due to inflation. Again, this means the US can buy things using something close to thin air while everyone has to use that currency just because. It is ultimately a economically colonialism system where American wealthy elites and Americans basically gets free lunches while exporting their economic and social problems elsewhere. The fact that you failed to mention that showed that you are already bias becaus that is the whole point of USD as a reserve currency.

@gaoxiaen1 That's not the point and you know it.

@victoriasjoguist2967 No, the USD supply in circulation is mostly control by the Federal Reserve, the feds. Only they have the power to print, and take back money, that piece of paper that represent value. Say, if you always have 10,000 pieces of paper in circulation, then the whole economy just have to make do with 10,000 pieces of paper for trade even if more Americans are buying local. There is a lot to learn about what the supply of pieces of paper meant for the economy, and what the feds can do that will affect the economy simply by controlling that circulation and the interest rates they set for lending and borrowing money.

@gaoxiaen1 No government is innocent but the real criminals that did the most harm to the most people is the US government. The number of crimes against humanity, violation of human rights and international laws done by the US government and American companies are uncountable and committed with no consequences. Seeing the American empire in decline and the dollar losing its reserve status so the world will be free from US tyranny, I'm all for it.
