@GBR9794 Even if the Japanese cannot make it profitable does not mean the Chinese can't. Even then, the premise that a public good/service has to be profitable is a flawed concept. Break even or close to it maybe a good target to reach and maintain, and as long as the service is not a huge burden on the budget while providing immense amount of affordability and super charge the economy, it is a net win. The fact that many Americans cannot fathom this concept is also one of the reasons why the US is in decline and part of the capitalist cultural domination of a society that they can control the minds of people living there to accept the most self-defeating and absurd notions.

@Duesre You would rather be force to buy a car than to have the freedom to go anywhere without being coerced into buying something?

@GBR9794 LOL where did you get your sources from? Is it a non-western independently verified source? If not, then go away.

You can just summarize it even better and say it's called capitalism.

@Duesre The fact that you think trains are an attack on cars already showed how deep your indoctrination by the automobile industry goes. It is not the train that might attack cars (as though having public transport is a bad thing), it has always been the automobile industry attacking public interest, public goods like trains, buses etc., just so they can create a condition where everyone has no choice but to buy a car. Then they brainwash you into thinking that being forced to fork over your hard earned money using the most inefficient way of transporting people is "freedom", which is a word that has lost all meaning in America.

Haha I'll believe when I see it and that it has been independently verified that it is a real HSR. Meanwhile, China already built 45,000 km of HSR.
