  1. There are only a few thousands professional athletes in the world that can make a living playing their sports. Using sports to escape poverty is never a real solution to the ills of poverty. It is just another capitalistic, fake meritocracy myth making. And that perhaps is a tragedy because this myth was sold so hard to improvised black communities.
