The thing is that Black Panther seen through the lenses of western imperialism and oppression resonate with every one who has suffered under the same. Africans, lots of East and South Asians, South Americans can relate to that.

I'm going nna get a lot of heat but China probably have helped Africa realize the dream of Afrofuturism through the BRI than any other organizations and especially from the west which has only ever view Africa as something to be exploited.

Reminding white America the crimes of CIA in the pursuit of profits for American companies and to beat down post colonial empowerment of Africa might be too much for white America to swallow. There is a lot of hypocrisy in white American culture with regards on viewing the US government foreign policy. Whatever the US government did, even if it was horrible, can be deflected away with some magic handwavy justification tonight communism or authoritarianism. They don't want the stark truth that those foreign adventures had little to do with preserving or spreading FREEDOM(TM) and everything to do with capitalistic imperialism. Their standard of living and capital are established by the exploitation of weaker countries in Africa, South America and large parts of Asia. They don't want to be reminded that their lives are built on the blood and deaths of Africans.

As much as the western media wants to slander China unfairly and let's be clear the Chinese themselves will tell you that China is not perfect and have a lot of problems, the Chinese and many African countries share a common history: western imperialism from both Europe and America. China's rise showed that there is another way to do it that is different from western model, and the existence of such model and its wild success is an existential threat to American capitalistic elites. Africa, South America and large parts of Asia can look at China and see that it is not merely FREEDOM(TM) that brings prosperity, peace and stability. Freedom follows prosperity and peace. China's freedom to decide its own destiny, and yes the Chinese people have a lot of influence on its government even if it is indirect, is guaranteed by China's current strength. America today would have destroy China if China could not defend itself, there is little doubt about that. Africa nations can only have freedom from interference from western imperialism if they are strong themselves, and that means industrialization, economic growth and prosperity. China knows how to get there, and that's what they are telling thee Africans; the BRI is the manifestation of that will and it is making American elites shitting their pants as more and more countries tell America to f**k off.

The way I see why there is a backlash to killmonger's plan is because it attacks at the core of western imperialism; what of the people we oppressed in turn become strong and do the same to us. It is a violent direct action plan and obviously it will result in conflict that no one will win. But the fact is that this is what motivated a large part of white racism in the west, especially America because there is an innate fear that if the white men is not at the top, he will have to pay for the sins he has wrought in the past, and that fear is encompassing. It is this fear that forms the core of the replacement theory (what if they take over by fucking our women or outbreed us), the concentrated hatemongering thrown towards China (what if they become powerful and come donto us what we did to them) and the sheer disrespect America has shown the global south Africa and South America, including a large part of Asia when the US government responded to China's rise and growing influence through the BRI by demanding everyone to reject China in exchange for continuing the current world order where they still get fucked over. And white America wonders why the world is getting more and more tired of their bullshit. Heck even the Europeans are getting sick of it. White America is projecting.
