@Mel_Gerrard China is practicing the beginning steps towards communism. State capitalism and socialist meritocracy is them trying to industrialize, get rich, get strong enough that they can't be intervened by western capitalists, and get connected with the world enough they cannot be sanctioned anymore. Then they will slowly transitioned towards communism.

@johnsmith-cw3wo India does not have the refined supply chain that China has created that enabled such efficiency manufacturing, nor do India has the political will and stability to create one in the future.

No that's not true. Nearly all income in a middle class American household is spent on essentials. The problem in America is not they spent everything, it is that their productivity has steadily increased but their real wages have stagnate. So everything got more expensive but their real income stays the same. Most are barely keeping their heads above water and they ain't buying Gucci. This is a symptom of rampant exploitation by their plutocratic class because most of the value they generated are kept by the multi-millionaires and billionaires and they are given barely enough to survive. The American people are exploited working class who are brainwashed to think they are just temporarily embarrassed millionaires. They have more in common with us than our own bourgeois millionaires and billionaires. Don't put down your own brothers and sisters.

I say they should totally do it. Surely the great western innovative culture will innovate their way out of this quagmire. Surely their neoliberal ideology of unleashing the free market and companies free from regulations will bring renewed prosperity to the west. Decouple from China, do it I say.
