@tombranch2261 Since when did they threatened to invade a nearby island and proclaiming itself the owner of an entire region. I think you are mistaking China for the US, who actually invade a nearby island (Cuba) and failed, but also invaded many other islands (Hawai'i, Guam, Philippines etc.) and proclaims the entire western hemisphere as theirs (Monroe Doctrine). Are you sure you are not projecting or just plain old hypocrisy and lack of self awareness?

The last time another rival tried to build a military base near them, they threatened to plunge the world into a nuclear war. Yet, they pretend that having hundreds of bases surrounding China is not threatening China.
