  2.  @Vrey662  Jack Ma was punished because he tried to undermine capital control by the Chinese government. He wanted to build a shadow banking system to overcome financial regulations to capture the as much capital as possible at the detriment to the Chinese people. He was rightfully brought down for breaking the law, for his hubris and disregard for the interests of the people in China.
