  1. The Israeli trade and some western trade are threatened. The rest of the WORLD trade is doing fine. Chinese, Russian, Iranian, and many countries' ships are sailing through the strait just fine. Maybe people should ask why.

  2.  @nikolatasev4948  Exactly. Just like US has supremacy in the western hemisphere and we have maintain that through the Monroe Doctrine, China want to their own sphere of influence. China is a gigantic country and will always be a regional great power and in order to even defend themselves adequately, they have no choice but to gain that sort of regional control. When people complain about China gaining influence in the region, they are essentially saying China has no right to defend itself. Who is ever going to accept that.

  3. Omg the west is the biggest hypocrites of all. You expect China to do so and not the west just goes to show how indoctrinated the westerners are. Western government routinely violate their own constitutions and laws and then use propaganda to twist it around it. China actually respect its own laws and constitution but you westerners just keep hearing from western corpo-state media how terrible China is. I bet none of you can give me any examples on how China violate its own constitution and laws.

  6. The Third Taiwan strait crisis highlight more than China's inability to counter USN carrier. It highlighted the severe national security problems faced by China. The USN, along with its allies can basically destroy the entire Chinese coastline with impunity, where hundreds of million of people lived. The USN can without remorse, blockade and starve China, killing millions while raining hellfire on Chinese cities. Think from their POV. Think how frightening it must be, for the lives of hundreds of millions of your people is at the command of a USN commander, and the whim of a president elected by another country's people who view you as nothing more than mongrels that should be put in their place when the time comes.
