Fed Chairman Powell is having to play a game of words. He will say one thing and do another. He will have to taper his hikes because of the upcoming November elections, which will soften the blow of recession, but he wants to scare the market towards austerity and reduce inflation. So that's why he's making sharp threats verbally, because he wants his verbal warnings to produce a significant anti-inflationary effect, even if he pulls back from further sharp hikes to spare the economy from hard recession.

It's not some mere political game being played. A lot of countries are very concerned about the real value of their US dollar holdings being eroded, thanks to inflationary US policies. Also, the United States has used the power of its dollar to put sanctions on various countries or confiscate their assets in the US, and furthermore the US recently forced Russia into a technical default by refusing to allow them to pay debt-holders in the US. So these actions by the United States are themselves political games which are discrediting the credibility and viability of the United States and its dollar as the global reserve currency. Others are just acting to protect themselves, as they should.

I like your videos, bhai - keep 'em coming! You have a very engaging style of explanation. I feel that Bitcoin is over-hyped however, because anybody can create a new Cryptocurrency, and so while Bitcoin was the first, it's still just a brand -- like Ford. In order to give that brand more sustainable popularity, that Crypto should be made useful for doing other things, such as making purchases. If Amazon comes out with AmazonCoin, or if PizzaHut comes out with PizzaCoin, then I could see that giving them an edge. I might not mind stuffing my money into AmazonCoin or PizzaCoin, if I knew it could give me special benefit in buying Amazon items or Pizzas.

$300 Billion of loan forgiveness will only worsen inflation. ๐คจ

@5:17 -- "inclusion and equity" ??? Where have I heard that phrase before? That's some kind of political phrase which has nothing to do with market forces, but seems to have everything to do with political pandering to special interest groups for votes. You can't base an economy on that. :body-green-covering-eyes: @5:42 - "national security" - that phrase gets abused a lot, and arouses suspicion. As Benjamin Franklin said, "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

@10:14 -- that huge RUN-UP was because Powell & Yellen sat around doing nothing while saying "TRANSITORY" as prices rose. The Fed looks corrupt. They were just trying to avoid dampening the economy, because they wanted to please their political masters.
