killercaos123 I think people should pull together in times of disaster, and not turn on each other. It's unfortunate that the govt can't do all these magical things to fix a 7.8 magnitude earthquake overnight, but losing your cool and rioting only makes things worse. Rioting and breaking more things after an earthquake has already damaged so much? Very foolish behavior - time to grow up.

This guy is an NRI - even they've got outdated playlists

Sounds more like Hardline Left-wingers (including VICE News) have found yet another ethnic group to caricature and direct their own prejudices onto. "No criticism of Muslims, please - that's Islamophobic - but please caricature these Hindooos instead"

:face-blue-covering-eyes: This is fake news. That protest was dominated by Sikhs, who make up only 2% of India's population. Various among them showed up at protest with separatist banners -- which indicates that they were hijacking the Farm Bill for their own separatist politics. Furthermore, a protest toolkit had been circulated among the Sikh farmers which was authored by well-known pro-separatist groups. So the entire Farm Bill protest was orchestrated by separatists who know that separatist campaigning is banned in India, and thus decided to pursue their campaign under the guise of something else.

So does this now open up the possibility of Made-to-Order guns that could be customized to the user based on their personal measurements and use cases? 🤔

The whole tone of this video sounds ridiculously slanted. It's the Democrats who've been screeching about "Russian election interference", and were using that against the 2016 election verdict for Trump. Any good process should provide an Audit Trail. For Dominion as a service provider to be suing political commentators, tells me that Dominion is itself a political actor serving as a henchman to silence critics of the ruling party. Politically partisan media like VICE coming in on the side of Dominion using slanted reporting only makes it all look worse. You're just adding fuel to the fire. :body-green-covering-eyes:

Unfortunately, some people care more about throwing tantrums than anything else. To them, the protest, the tantrum, the screaming, the riot, is the first and only instinct. There's been a massive earthquake, people - the govt can't magically solve this instantly - figure it out. Holding a sit-in or a protest or a riot isn't going to improve the situation - it's just going to add to the problems.

***** Unfortunately, it was known for a long time that another quake like the 1934 one which hit Katmandu was going to happen. But people never cared to do anything or prepare for it. International experts the world over have been saying that something like this was going to happen. The govt in Nepal may be corrupt, just as all 3rd world govts are corrupt, but then that's all the more reason why people should factor that into their thinking and try to minimize their dependence on the govt. The problem is that people in the 3rd world keep themselves much more dependent on the govt than people in the developed world (which is why the developed world is more developed, and the the underdeveloped world is so underdeveloped.) People in the 3rd world rely on the govt to do everything and expect the govt to do everything. In the developed world, people debate about downsizing govt and removing govt from people's lives, but in the 3rd world people try to find ways to bring more govt into their lives and to make themselves even more dependent on the govt. Then later on they inevitably cry about why the govt is letting them down. It's a crazy vicious cycle.

there's not a whole lot of people in any 3rd world country that pay taxes - usually it's just the rich

08pranam I don't think anyone's questioning their desire to leave - after all, it's a disaster zone - but rioting and causing more disorder when the place is already messed up from an earthquake is just pouring gas onto a fire. It only compounds problems, not helps them. People should stay calm and level-headed during a disaster, otherwise they just make things worse.

Is this what inspired Orwell to write Animal Farm? "Pigs of the world unite..."

@GRF29 - okay, so that's the legal aspect. But just looking purely at the technical side, is it possible to optimize the design of a gun based on the personal characteristics (eg. measurements, etc) of the user? Or is there likely no benefit from that? Like if you gave a 4-ft tall guy an AR15 that's suitably designed to match his smaller stature, then maybe it would work better for him. At the very least, more experimentation through 3D printing might lead to innovations and advancements in firearms designs.

Trump was pulling back from other obsolete engagements in order to conserve resources for the more crucial conflicts like China
