Their opposition to Putin is only opportunistic, and not ideological. The pipeline is meant to provide similar oil being supplied to Europe by Russia via the existing pipeline through Ukraine. The real issue then becomes about bypassing Ukraine for supplying energy to Europe. I don't see why such diversification should be an issue.

It's all very obvious. Xi Jinping has singlehandedly burst the myth of the so-called "peaceful rise of China". Just because you can't accept it, doesn't mean the world doesn't see China for the dangerous bully that it is. This attitude will cause Chinese to be hated everywhere. They'll only feel welcome in their own country, and will be unwelcome everywhere else. That's exactly what Xi Jinping wants, because that's the only way a dictator like him can get his people to cling to him.

There have been many similar incidents in China. Don't you remember when a caretaker stabbed to death a bunch of schoolchildren in China? Of course you don't, because people are not allowed to talk about such incidents, since China is not a free country. In USA, when some tragic incident happens, people can fully talk about it, without govt suppression. Similarly, in China nobody can talk about govt suppression of Dr Li Wenliang, who discovered the Coronavirus.

China has no right to automatically demand inclusion into ISS, especially when it spends all its time stealing technology. Look at all the foreign technology in the Chinese space station. It's very clear just from looking at it, which other countries this technology came from.

But CCP only shows footage afterwards, because they are scared in case of failure. Reminds me of the old saying: "Success has a thousand fathers, but failure is an orphan." CCP advertises its cowardice at every step of the way.
