  1. Don't forget that SR-71 was designed in the 1950s - more than half a century ago. The aircraft entered into service under Eisenhower. Apparently, it was originally called RS-71, but Eisenhower's gaffe in introducing it as SR-71 caused the name change. So I don't see why PAK-DP shouldn't be able to out-perform it.
