Canada had way more diplomats in India than the other way around India simply asked for parity

Jagmeet seems to suffer from Cognitive Dissonance. From one side of his mouth, he complains about Trudeau's inaction, and from the other side he's supporting Trudeau's govt. :body-green-covering-eyes:

"2 languages, 6 timezones, 8 indigenous languages, television, radio" Oh, and let's not forget the copious amounts of bootlicking sycophancy and sanctimony to keep fluffing the ruling regime. State propaganda mouthpiece and ideological bastion - worth more to the rulers than money can buy. :body-green-covering-eyes:

CBC seems to be equivocating by avoiding mention of the Pakistan military's long track record of military coups and even political assassinations and executions. What's also not mentioned are the vast networks of business enterprises run by the military, who feel they have a lot to lose if their wings are clipped by Imran Khan. Meanwhile, Pakistan's poor are starving as food riots break out in the face of economic mismanagement by Pakistan's current ruling govt.

In US elections, the Left always complain how it needs to be the popular vote that decides the govt. I bet the Left are happy that representative democracy is used in Canada rather than a mere popular vote.

Current NDP "leadership" is a big step down from what it used to be :body-green-covering-eyes:

@GargeeBhandareWadhwani - Quebec separatists never carried out the kind of violence and mass-killings that Khalistanis did during the insurgency in Punjab. At least the Quebecers aren't crazy medieval fanatics like the Khalistan Taliban are.
20
@prabeeshsidhu - don't hand me that crap - we're talking about Canada, but you only want to use any situation to support your own political priorities in India. You're basically saying that Hindus in Canada have no right to safety because of alleged events in India. Show me which Hindu in Canada is harassing anyone in India. You go out of your way to raise such comparisons, because you don't like any Hindu anywhere, even if he's in Canada just minding his own business.

Ohh, Andrew Chang is having a field day shifting attention onto India, while China gets a free pass in maintaining overseas police stations in Canada. Gotta love that Asian representation at the CBC. 🙄
16
Nonsense - there is no jury selection process going on. Transparency on evidence would be fundamental. Otherwise, anyone can go around making the worst accusations against anyone else, without having to provide the slightest evidence. By opposing disclosure, you're saying something about your sense of what a justice process is supposed to be.
15
@SB-199 - and Pannu was Nijjar's lawyer
13
Totally agree with you. This is like Dr Strangelove combined with an Orwell novel. It's both ridiculous and disgusting. NATO has been continually expanding eastward in a direct provocation to the Russians, despite their repeated strenuous warnings. This has pushed things a long way down the path to war -- and now we're just nitpicking over who's taken the final steps off the precipice.
13
@0:41 This guy Gurmeet Singh Toor is standing in front of a poster that says "ASSASSINATION WANTED" -- but there's no comment on that! Apparently it's just par for the course. Go figure. :face-purple-wide-eyes:

@1:30 -- Chart says "June July March September" ??

What does the phrase "racialized" mean?:cat-orange-whistling:

Biden govt: blows up major pipeline on other side of Atlantic :face-blue-wide-eyes: Also Biden govt: can't even pop balloon in own airspace :face-red-droopy-eyes:

Joly seems to be drama teacher's star pupil, when it comes to adding drama
8
Justin keeps playing his fiddle, while Jagmeet dances to his tune. Meanwhile the country is crumbling around them. :face-purple-wide-eyes: Jagmeet will go down in history as the worst ever betrayer of NDP voters and the poor. :face-red-droopy-eyes:
8
Libs gave cop Bill Blair the key position of Defense Chief, just like they gave cop Harjit Sajjan the key position of Defense Chief. Military in the hands of Keystone Cops.
8
Another foreign country that Justin Trudeau has managed to rub the wrong way
7
@AdoraTsang - Nijjar was wanted for the bombing of a cinema hall in India which killed 6 people. Canada gave him citizenship in spite of him being wanted on a an Interpol Red Corner Notice.
7
Both Justin & Jagmeet are the problems. Pampered Prince Justin and faithful sepoy Jagmeet defending their Raj (reign)
7
@wilhelm4321 - you liked his intonation ability, coz it reminded you of...?
6
don't worry - they'll make up for it with tons of spin by other operatives within CBC
6
@YuvrajSingh-zr6uw - does that justify farmer violence? They got violent first - we saw that last time too. They were given full permission to protest and abused. They even circulated toolkit to coordinate attacks on Indian embassies and spray 'Khalistan' on them. How is it that only Punjabis are protesting when 99% of farmers are non-Punjabis? What's going on here - and why are you turning a blind eye?
6
Their govt has had many decades to develop plans and strategies for dealing with such chronic situations, but have never cared enough to do so.
6
she sounds like a smart and articulate lady
5
@sexynelson100 restrictions on travel are still nevertheless a good thing. Travel restrictions have been imposed for past viral threats, including Ebola. Nobody ever criticized it then, so there's no need to criticize it now.
5
The US also launches many orbital satellites every week. None of them are for foreign surveillance of the United States. Sputnik Balloon
5
@stratford374 - he's Trudeau's partner in crime
5
@sd67b - rampant runaway immigration means there's not enough of those places to accommodate the overflowing numbers of immigrants. You could spend your whole life on a waiting list to get into one of those places. The govt's policy is to bring in more immigrants first, and then leave it until later to consider where they'll live - after everyone's screaming in agony.
5
Looks so cool - wonder why they didn't do this sooner? Been to Niagara Falls plenty of times and didn't know about this. Is access to this free?
5
The CBC has carried out hard-hitting reporting showing the CBC to be above reproach.
5
no you
5
Polish Panzer Division coming right up - time for blitzkrieg!
5
But did Jagmeet collude to get his job? Because he sure hasn't earned it.
5
Paying for Trudeau's & Jagmeet's re-election, through social programs
4
That's their time-tested tactic. Professional fudging.
4
Roger Stone had a humorous conversation where he made some tongue-in-cheek remarks about the Godfather. His remarks were purely lighthearted and non-serious, and not some admission of guilt. It's more than likely that Roger Stone will beat these flimsily contrived charges, and stop Mueller's investigation Stone Cold.
4
Jagmeet is merely paying lip-service to helping the poor in this faltering economy. :body-green-covering-eyes: He will continue to support Justin's govt, even while pretending to want to help the poor. The NDP need a change of leadership, or else the poor need to turn to an alternative party to protect their interests. I'm glad this interviewer didn't pull punches or throw softballs.
4
independent reporting is exactly what Canada needs certainly won't find it under the state mouthpiece CBC
4
Globalization encourages Global Pandemics
4
from Wikileaks to mic-ileaks
4
just one - because the APP one will still exist while the other one will be bankrupt
4
Exactly -- relations were quite decent before pampered Prince Justin showed up
4
@adamdabester depends on where you live, depends on what your situation is Why shouldn't public officials be required to live by the same rules as the ordinary public they rule over? How about a minister who tells everyone to cut back on eating, but stuffs his own face? Will you tell me that he gets to eat more because he's a minister?
4
Is that because of the caravans in Mexico headed for a new life in US? Those wishing to illegally come to the US must be overjoyed at a Biden presidency
4
I'm sure Trudeau was able to help them decide -- in his favour
4
I'd re-phrase what you said, by pointing out that every time some new damaging information leaks out about Biden's corruption, new charges are conveniently issued against Trump. Clearly the justice system has been weaponized, which isn't a viable approach against essentially the half of the country that voted for Trump. It makes America look like a 3rd-world banana republic.
3
"Impeding the incoming administration"??? You mean like Obama-Biden did, by spying on president-elect Trump and his cabinet, and invoking the Logan Act against them??? How come CBC doesn't have the decency to mention these obvious facts??
