@entropybear5847 They have way better propaganda media and way more of an audience (at least on these English social media sites) that will believe their propaganda. Judging by all the US apologists in these comments, it unfortunately works. Its really sad to see anyone shill for large empires, no matter if its China, Russia, or the US. All of them need to be called out for their hypocrisy and all need to have consequences for their actions...sadly not all are treated the same in international law, some get away with more than others. US getting away with so much is why other empires want to do the same, hence why China uses the same corruption tactics the US does. Everyone needs to follow the rules, otherwise the rules are meaningless, which currently they are. Rules are only there to police the weaker nations and is only enforced for them, empires bypass the rules through political, economic, and media manipulations.

@evancombs5159 Im talking mostly about my own personal interest in this type of content. Whenever someone makes clickbait titles, I just dont want to watch it. Dont like to be lied to/deceived upfront. What someone views as clickbait is entirely up to them, some channel content makers just do it instinctively at this point. Youtube might be promoting and encouraging this horrible practice, but that doesnt mean I will support it,

@dannygelbart6827 Thats what I also inferred with my second statement if you read and understood my statement. Logically deduce, if there is no civilization that is advanced enough to communicate with others in space, then the signal they detected was there some cosmic anomaly (pulsar, black hole, supernova, what have you) or their equipment creating a false reading.

@connecticutaggie What da hell are you talking about? You literally get jailed in the US for life if you try to unveil truth about whats going on inside the government. There have been several known cases where the US manhunted people that revealed its secrets. There is no such thing as an open nation. Get a reality check. Every nation has classified information (part of national security), and a range of whats acceptable to speak about and a range of how you get punished for your speech.

The US is threatened by Chinese growing relevance on the world stage. They did the same with the Soviet Union sparking the Cold War, they did the same to Japan by tanking its economy in the late 80s, they did the same to the EU with the recent war. They will do anything to stay in power. Is China great? Absolutely not, its just another imperial nation like the rest of them, abusing smaller nations and its own people for greed and expansion and the growing greed of very few at the top, but it will be laughable to think that there is any sort of "good guy" in this game of Empires.

For a civilization to become spacefarring, they will need to mine resources outside of the planet. In actuality this is better for the Earth, cause the mining (and eventual construction) will be done off world. Every science fiction or near future setting shows that mining off world stellar objects is the first step in space exploration. Things will get more complicated, but that is to be expected of a species with expansionist tendencies.

@xx_amongus_xx6987 Because of conflict and competition, humans have achieved a lot. Thats how our species operates. Its more likely people will push themselves and innovate if they see some kind of challenge and competition in it to win against something. Why would anyone bother if there was nothing to gain? This is literally how the Space Race started, competition and conflict speeding up space exploration.

It could be that aliens are more advanced than us and have been advanced for longer than we were...or alien civilizations are just now getting to the same advancement level as we are, and that there are no advanced civilizations in the universe yet that are capable of long distance communication.

Maybe we shouldnt be searching for alien life, especially if most of the advanced ones are not friendly to less developed weaker ones. Three-Bodied Problem made this cosmic horror all to apparent.
