So they can absorb as much water as possible and hold it as long as it can and then release it it the dry seasons. This way we will make our dry seasons shorter and we also decrease outdoor temperatures.

  20.  @Skoda130  I know it's not sufficient, buts it's a step in the right direction. Besides there are a few great ideas out there like the vertical farms. That have the potential to produce more food with less water and less space needed. Yes I'm aware the situation we are in and that we still need allot more research, which is why we should have actually started 20 years ago. Welp better late than never.
