  1. My owner's manual says MERCON , not MERCON V and that they should NOT BE MIXED.  Why would they now say MERCON V is okay?

  2. "No excuse to not maintain it".  GREAT.   All these years and I have brushed off maintaining the trans fluid, for whatever reason.  Someone at O'Reilly looked at the color and it's a light brown not too bad for 217K miles.  Now I know better!
