  1. Yes gold is best!!! I have a gold crown on a molar in the back. That tooth is impeccable to this day. Chewing strength is incredible. It's from about 30 years ago. Gold is worth the extra cost

  2. I have a whole bunch of old amalgam fillings. I would not consider getting them taken out. They are fine the way they are.
