He was bullied out because of 1) his debate performance debacle, and 2) his bullseye of Trump on Twitter and 3) because his bullseye didn't work. They weren't even sure if they were going to run Kamala as they were calling newsom non stop over and over, but he didn't answer. He missed his chance so they appointed Kamala.
