So 60:8-9 is stating you can be good or evil towards disbelievers who allow you to conquer them and keep silent, but don't show any mercy to those that dare speak out or defend themselves!.....Al-Lah declares disbelievers are enemies of Al-Lah, and Al-Lah declares war on the disbelievers (9:29 (1 example))! They say, "Legends of the former peoples," 23:83 - Sahih International We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before; this is not but legends of the former peoples." 25:5 - Sahih International And they say, "Legends of the former peoples which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon." 27:68 - Sahih International We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples." 46:17 - Sahih International But one who says to his parents, "Uff to you; do you promise me that I will be brought forth [from the earth] when generations before me have already passed on [into oblivion]?" while they call to Allah for help [and to their son], "Woe to you! Believe! Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth." But he says, "This is not but legends of the former people" - 68:15 - Sahih International When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples." 83:13 - Sahih International When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples." 15:6 - Sahih International And they say, "O you upon whom the message has been sent down, indeed you are mad. 44:14 - Sahih International Then they turned away from him and said, "[He was] taught [and is] a madman."
