  1. The tragedy is that they got so much right: classic style, a decent score, retro art, voice talent - Linklater is no Kevin Conroy, but nobody is - and scripts (up to a point). But they just had to Update It For Modern Audiences by making Batman a side character in his own show. It's an addiction, a compulsion, and I'm sure it'll be every bit as successful as X-Men '97.
