My rent is $6000/month. If I bought my house my note would be $9800/month after I put down $380k. I'm financially ready to buy, but I'm not buying. Why? Because it doesn't make sense to pay 3800/month more and my bank acct drop 380k.

@pia9343 My rental house is definitely not luxury, just a great location. My boat is parked in the canal out back and beach is walking distance. These prices are killing me as I'm typically very frugal.

@MichaelBordenaro Man I'm so tired of moving. I've lived in 8 houses since 2019, it gets so old. If you ever need to film from a boat (up and down canals or ocean) I have a regular 23' center console... as long as I'm not on film lol. I'm in Lauderdale By The Sea.

@candelariaw1668 ... and I have the cheapest rental in my area that's on the water. Other homes around here are 10-15k for on the water. I think it's absolutely crazy, and I'm more crazy for paying that. This very basic house I live in would sell for about $1.6m so the note would be insane. I'm retired and my daughter, son, and daughter's fiance live here so I somewhat justify this stupid high price... for a little while. We've been here for 2 years and when my lease is up later this year we might have to move to TX or back to TN.
