Game management laws and regulations have been changed in most US states that you can only use a circle hook for sharks and they rust out and do not do any long term harm. Furthermore, even if if didn’t rust out, the cyclical nature of the sharks jaw producing teeth actually pushes the hook out.

Jesse Bella you are incorrect barbless circle hooks that can fall out or rust out are the law in shark fishing regulations all over the USA. maybe other countries are different, but I don’t live there. Please do your proper research and due diligence regardless of whether or not you agree with the fact that people do in fact fish sharks for fun and for food or for catch and release and noting that hooks while it may bother it temporarily certainly do not pose long term harm to the apex predators that manufactures hundreds of its own new teeth through its jaw each year due to the fact that they literally rip through bone and flesh all day everyday in order to survive.

  5. the ignorance is beautiful is it not? 😝the hooks rust out (it’s the law) or are pushed out by the sharks body as their jaws are constantly producing new and more teeth as old ones get ripped out from ripping up prey. Hooks that can rust out or break off are the law for shark fishing regulations.
