  1. before all the modern hunting laws came into being in the 1920’s 1930’s, the “market hunters” used to use low gauge massive shotguns, like 8 gauge and 6 gauge. I think they called them, “punt guns”. But I do not know why the word punt was used to describe such massive shotguns.

  2. i own a 10 gauge that i freaking love and have hunted many geese with. Kicks like horse! An exaggeration, yes. But still kicks real good. I cannot imagine a freakin 4 gauge!
