They unconditionally surrendered. Yes, America plus the Allies won WWII in the Pacific by completely and utterly defeating the evil royalistic fascistic Japan government of that era, that sent so many of its sons to tragically die in the name of the stupid Japaness emperor and Pan Japanese imperialism. Well, fast forward. It is ok now. We love the Japanese, they changed their government when we defeated them. They make the best cars. They make the best animation. They make cool video games too.
