  1. we called ‘em “banana spiders” where I come from in SE Texas. On account of our local subspecies having a long, more yellower than black thorax or abdomen or whatever it is. Yah so we called ‘em banana spiders. I was petrified of them because I had thought they were venomous. But then I found out they bite but not venomous. But running into their webs if I am not paying attention still freaks me out haha.
