@christophercjc2 yes and Lubbock growth was possible because of cotton farms also. Lubbock existed before it got the university but yes it is true that the university is a huge part of it

@NickCombs think again, billions of and billions of NEW barrels of oil and gas have been discovered west of Midland and will fuel populations for AT LEAST another hundred years to come. So no, not in the least, no chance will it run out on 30 years. That’s just propaganda that you the media tells you.
