  2. correct. and they shut all of them off. However it is a pressurized gas line. There is still a ton of pressure inside it. And unfortunately, they just have to let it drain out. Thing of your tires on your car and stabbing a hole in the tire. You are not going to stop it if you stab it. Just gotta let the air go out until it is all out. But you stab too big a hole, the whole tire will just explode on you. Not good. Now take that idea and transfer over to natural gas pipelines. You can start to formulate an idea of how it works. For safety and emergencies just like this, they specifically engineer it and build it to leak out the rest of the gas and let it burn out after turning off the emergency shut off valves on either end of the pipe.

  4. what a convenient cover for an act of eco terrorism…. a random individual experiencing a medical emergency. Right. ok. I suppose it could be true. But the FBI is already involved. Feds already involved, as is expected in any major industrial accident. Or was it an accident? And even if it is proven to be an accident, you still gonna have idiots like me on the interwebs conspiratorializing on it anyways regardless of indisputable facts.

  5. they did turn it off actually. Pipelines are hundreds of miles long and have emergency shutoff every so many miles, as REQUIRED BY LAW. So they did shut it off. But in between the shut offs, it still has gas inside it. And the only thing they can do it let it burn out.

Combining this information with the context and specific subject of what the man is specifically talking about in the video, we find that no it cannot be both in the context of the speech. Carbon monoxide is poisonous. Carbon Dioxide is not poisonous, per se. Only that, your body cannot live on carbon dioxide but your body still makes it, and too much can still kill you but, carbon dioxide suffocates you to kill you. Carbon dioxide does not poison your blood it just suffocates your lungs. Whereas, alternatively, carbon monoxide is poisonous, simultaneously poisoning your blood stream while you also suffocate. Careful folks! stay alive!

  13. there ARE shut off valves and Energy Transfer DID shut them off. That said, there’s still a lot of natural gas inside the pipe still. Pressurized. And there’s no way to contain it other than to evacuate the perimeter and let it burn out. Because of how high the pressure is. Thing of putting air inside your tires. And the tire pops. Well that is an instant release of all of the air pressure. Here, we have pipe full of gas pressure. Similar to a tire popping, except slowly, because of the wmergency pressure valve is specifically engineered and built to release the pressure slowly if the valve gets compromised. If it was not build that way, it will be like a megatons bombs exploding the whole vicinity.
