and besides, the issue/stereotype of the eastern European “models” or prostitutes or whatever… That all rose to prominence and became a huge problem during the communism of the soviets. So yah, prostitution and sex slavery and trafficking has existed in every country regardless of politico-economic systems. And yes it is simultaneously true that the problem and issue is/was magnified and broadened by the black markets and eastern Euro/Russian mafias that arose during communism to buck equally terrible and tyrannical and anti-freedom nature of that system. People literally sold themselves into sex slavery in communist countries because of the despotic government so that they could in theory survive and eat and make money. This is a documented and interesting and tragic phenomenon.
