  1. that is really fascinating! never thought about the Columbia River having jetties, but of course! I’m just from Texas so I rarely think about all the other major ports we have in the nation. I mean, not because i am not trying to😂 Anyways this reminded me of our also super long jetty in Galveston which protects the entrance to the port of Houston. The Galveston North Jetty, which is ironically located at the very southern tip of a peninsula, but just north of Galveston. It’s like 5 miles long and i used to think it was the longest, maybe it was at one point, but he said 6.5 miles for this so that is definitely longer! Anyways I always love going down to the jetties to go fishing on they make for some great fishing spots!
