i might assume that many or all of the other automotive journalist do not have the engineering background that you do. therefore your perspective is much more nuanced. which could partially explain why all the other journalists took a different opinion than you on the performance and handling. how many other classicly trained engineers out there have transitioned to automotive journalism like you? but you've carved out a really cool niche because it's almost like you're a hybrid journalist/enthusiast/technical writer/engineer. which is why i love your channel!

8:48 ok now i would like to know why the older diesel engines would still "run like crap" on gas but nowadays it can totally destroy those parts

that is fascinating! I have had this video on my “watch later” list for years and totally forgot about it, ‘hahaha’. I am curious, several years later, if these bikes with this technology sold well? Or how the market treated them?

is this torque hp relationship like, an immutable natural law, pretty much? is there a name for it? that is, if the numbers change between the various units, but the observation is that there is always a crossing point, regardless of how it is mathematically measured, doesn't that lend itself to some sort of natural physics relationship or something like that? and btw great vid! have a learned a lot about cars watching your channel
