but i always wonder about how those certain high functioning individuals who only sleep 3-4 hours a day do it? i feel that there may be a bell curve of how much sleep an individual actually needs based on each individuals genetics, physiology, and makeup. i have no data to back up my feeling, it is only a hunch that i have. maybe there is some research out there somewhere. either way, it is certainly documented about how some people function normally or even are high performing innovators, entrepreneurs, etc., who only get like, 4 hours of sleep a day
