  1.  @thomasdevine867  interesting comment however I’d also like to hear what the folks in the Rockies and the Dakotas and Montana have to say about needing less luck in frigid winters every year. I think they might disagree with you. Suffice it to say, much of the USA is you know, not that cold. But also, north of a certain latitude, and in other parts of the country, people definitely have just as frigid or even more frigid winters than all of Europe except maybe Scandinavia, year in, year out. That was one of the reasons a ton of Norwegians immigrated to Minnesota in the 1800s. They already knew how to make their own luck in such harsh winters each year

And then there’s also people who can see trends forming before other people and those people usually get disparaged by me and you and the rest of us who do not have that “foreseeing” ability. It’s not even magical or fortune telling or anything. It’s just pattern recognition and it really is fascinating how some folks have a natural ability to see a pattern forming and logically extrapolate it out to what it could mean for any given subject. So! Therefore! I also enjoy disparaging Zeihan!😅 And, simultaneously, he also does in fact have an ability to analyze events and see patterns before many of his counterparts in the world. That does not mean that they all come true, mind you.

  4. you missed the part where you didn’t disclose your general region as pertains to you yourself and forgot to micro-contextualize that he is only talking about one region of Europe. For example mediterranean Europe ain’t gonna get cold like the French Alps or the Swiss Alps. You know, context!
